PMVI Guidebook and Inspection Report Forms

OSBA has collaborated with OMCA and Techni-com Inc. to create inspection report forms and a technician guidebook to help stations and mechanics who are ready to switch over to the new PMVI standard. The guidebooks provide a comprehensive explanation of the new National Standard adopted by Ontario. The book provides detailed description and illustrations of how each component or system is to be inspected and what constitutes a “pass” or “reject” condition. The book also includes the National Safety Code Standard 13, reproduced with the consent of CCMTA.  Technicians doing PMVI annual and semi-annual bus inspections and SSC’s have long asked for an authoritative, simple to use guidebook to ensure inspections are done consistently and in accordance with the regulations – now we have it!  Under the new PMVI regulation, technicians must fill out an inspection report in conjunction with the annual or semi-annual safety sticker or SSC. This is a new requirement that was not part of the previous regulation. These forms are available in a variety of formats, please see the order form for more details.
